Pre-Order Box and Bees
We will have some bees to sell with boxes next spring, but only a few are available. These are overwintered colonies of bees from feral stock. Those that put their deposit down first will get the first bees that are ready in the spring, which are basically those that made it through winter the strongest! This deal is for a Thriving Hive Box, a First-Year Swarm Box, and a Nucleus Colony of bees. There is only 1 box special left at the price is $850. To reserve your box and bees package for spring we require a $450 deposit. After Dec. 31st prices will go up to $950 if we have any left, so act now! We cannot ship bees! This is for pick-up only.
Thriving Hive Box
The Thriving Hive Box is currently at $649.00, but we are now offering a kit to build your own box for $250.00, as an introductory cost. The kit has all the pieces for the frame work, cut, drilled, and all of the hardware. All you will have to do is add the plywood and insulation. The kit eliminates the mistakes that most people will make in building a hollow framed box, while still giving you a box that is extremely strong--to support the weight of 300+ pounds of honey! Most boxes are built with just 4 panels, and they simply don't have the same strength in construction that the Thriving Hive design has.

First-Year/Swarm Box
The First-Year/Swarm Box can still be purchased with frames and insulation wrap for $219.00. In the past year there have been many improvements made in how we build the boxes. The latest changes is that they roof is now insulated! Though putting insulation on top of the box is still advised, we found that having a small amount in the inner cover improved the overall performance of the box. Shipping prices will be calculated before shipment, and we can give you a quote at the time that you place your order. We only have 3 boxes currently built and ready to ship.
The Thriving Hive E-Books
We have 2 free E-Books that have just been updated for 2020! These books will help you learn about how bees live, how to keeping bees in a sustainable way, how to catch swarms, and so much more!. These books are very helpful in understanding what you need to know about sustainable beekeeping! We will also soon have a published book out--Eco-Based Sustainable Beekeeping--that will go much deeper in to the practices of how to keep bees in a way that is good for the environment and the bees.

Place your order by Dec. 31st, 2019, or deposit on your box and bees package. To order fill out the form below, and let us know what you wish to order. We will contact you about your order, and send you a PayPal request for the total. These boxes are custom built, and your boxes will be built in the order the orders were received in, though we do currently have 3 of the First-Year/Swarm Boxes in stock, and 1 Hive Kit.
